An interview with Edward Reekers (The Liberty Project)

A year ago Edward Reekers released his 4th studio album, som e15 years after the previous one. However, this album was different! The Liberty Project originated in the Covid period and became an impressive work of 17 songs and can be best described as a rock opera thing!

It is a rock opera, but more than that, as the music is so rich and full with influences, amazing guests and surprising instruments! Edward calls The Liberty Project his life’s work and that it is!

But it did not stay with ‘just an album’ no, Edward took The Liberty Project to the stage and played 5 shows. The final show in the same venue, where it started: Poppodium Boerderij (formerly known as De Boerderij). I went to see that final show (which was more than awesome!) and asked Edward if he was willing to do an interview.

He was and here we are…a nice interview with Edward, a mere hour before showtime, where he enthousiastically tells the tale of The Liberty Project.
