Podcast: Tribe3, part of a supportive prog community

2025 is the year I am discovering a lot of new bands. And it seems these bands are all connected somehow, they have quite an overlap in fans and places they perform. So far I have already interviewed a few of these bands, Ghost of the Machine and Hats Off Gentlemen Its Adequate, but I have a few more on my wishlist. One of them is Tribe3, who recently released their excellent second album Life Among Strangers.

I met online with Chris Jones (Guitars) and Jonathan Kinsey (drums, vocals, keyboards). Only bassplaye Steve Hughes couldn’t make it, but Jonathan made sure he was represented.

We had a fun chat, with several laughs, but also talked about the band, how they came to be, their influences and of course the new album. But a bit at the end of our conversation we talked about the prog community and that is what i especially enjoyed from the conversation!

To see bands really supporting eachother in every way they can, by booking shows together or festivals. Also all these bands have facebook groups and many fans can be found in different groups, showing their support for these bands. That is what I love about the prog community!
