Mission Jupiter: Prog from Belarus

It is not every day I get to talk to a band from Belarus. Honestly, I was actually surprised to find that in this country, they also have a progressive rock band! I got in touch with them via Instagram and as I got curious, I checked out their music. That sounded really good and so the contact grew and I asked if they were interested in doing an interview…

The band recently released their third album, Aftermath, and this album brought a few changes with them. Earlier the bassist and singer of the band left. Luckily the band found a new singer, Kate Varsak, who is really amazing! In the interview they tell how she got involved in the band. With the arrival of Kate, the band also changed their sound, to a more darker, heavier sound. This definitely fits the voice of Kate!

There are a lot of interesting songs on the album, that I was curious about, like a song in their native tongue, Belarusian, but also a song about their country. So it was an interesting conversation. Enjoy! And do check out Aftermath, it is highly recommended.
