A Rush Rant

Can I assume you picked up on the recent announcement by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, that they will be doing a short tour in 2026? And consequently they need a drummer…since Neil Peart passed away in 2020. And the drummer, who will support Alex and Geddy has been announced: Annika Nillsen, a German drummer. And they might include a keyboard player, so Geddy can focus on his bassplay and singing, although he will play the signature parts in Tom Sawyer.

Well, just in the small case that you missed all this, you are up to speed. And of course the announcement of the upcoming tour and teh new drummer, has sent the interweb into a frenzy and everywhere there are discussions about this. Of course I have mu opinion about this as well, as I have over many things. But I tend to keep them to myself (or bore my wife with them!)

However, this time I decided not to stay silent. I decided to share my opinion on the Rish announcement, but also on the whole discussions around it. And it gave me chance to go into two other bands as well…

p.s. apologies for the late post to the website…I finsihed teh video really late last wednesday and spent almost all of thursday in awe of the facet the video was reaching so many more people, then I could have ever uimagined it! Over 1000 views in less than 24 hours!
