The Reticent’s ‘Please’ is intense, haunting, beautiful and very important!

First off: sorry for adding this to the website so late! But it is here, in case you missed it. And in case you missed The Reticent. Now, that might very well be possible, as The Reticent is not a big name. In fact, I would have never found out about them, if it weren’t for Generation Prog Records, who pointed them out to me.

I’m happy they did, as this is quite a remarkable band! I checked out their previous album, The Oubliette, an album bringing a story about a person suffering from Alzheimer. A very impressive album.

Now the band brings their sixth album, Please and again a very persona; and heavy subject: dealing with depression and mental illness. But the way they bring this subject in their music, makes for a very beautiful, yet intense musical journey. Ranging from blacj/deathmetal to ambient, mellow songs, with even a very strong Steven Wilson vibe in one of the songs.

Highly recommended!
