Captain of the Lost Waves – Beautiful Ugly

Receiving mail is always nice and especially as the sender really put effort in the mail! A while ago I receive an enveloppe and when I opened it and looked, I saw something that looked like a satchel of potpourri…but it was in fact a CD! And the digisleeve felt different, a bit like velvet…all in all very intruiging!

There were two notes with the CD, explaining who it was from: the Captain of the Lost Waves…I like a name like that! It was his 5th album, but one that came after a very difficult time: recovvering from a car accident.

Since I was not familiar with this Captain of the Lost Waves, I was curious to the music and put the CD on. When I was listening, I felt something was missing from the music. But at the same time I was very curious what the album would bring and so I kept listening…

In the end I played the album several times and with each spin, I started to love the music more and the missing started to fade away…
