Interview: Joe Deninzon of Stratospheerius & Kansas

It happens often that music flies under my radar, but when something happens that puts this music on my radar and it turns out to be great music, I am quite happy. Whe I reached an e-mail from a promoter, introducing the music of Joe Deninzon to me, I was not familiar with him. But when I listened to his music, I became enthusiastic, because the new album he release with his band Stratospheerius is a real musical treat.

Since Joe’s main instrument is an electric violin, a rather futuristic looking one, i was curious about him and wanted to know the man behind the music. So we arranged an interview over Zoom and I asked Joe if he could bring his violin with him. Well, he did and more…he also demonstrated it! That is what I like about doing a video interview….you can’t do that in printed media 😉

There is a lot to say about Stratospheerius, it’s interesting start, the current line up, the violin and the fact that Joe Deninzon being a violinist, got him asked to join Kansas as their violinist! Also something very awesome!

Oh, and I should mention that it was drummer Jason Gianni, who tipped the promoter to contact LiveProg! Unfortunately Jason could not join the interview, but since he also has a lof of nice things going, an interview with him is already scheduled! So stay tuned for that!
